About

The plan is to establish a creative hub at the Puhoi Sports Club who have given their full support for the project. The objective is to offer a series of hands-on workshops led by Rodney East Arts practitioners over a six-month period.

Potential workshops include:

  • Ceramic sculpting/hand-building

  • Eco printing

  • Screen printing and stencil making

  • Mosaic art

  • Oamaru stone carving

  • Ceramic decorating

  • Woodcut printmaking

  • Gelli printmaking

  • Pit fire or raku techniques

  • Harakeke weaving.

The end goal is to host an exhibition at Puhoi Community Hall, showcasing the work of all participating students and tutors.
